dc.description.abstract Generally, in the history of religion, the interrelation of religion and society has produced numerous invented traditions. Hence, not only a specific religion has had various appearances during its history, but also it may be different in the same time in different parts of the world. This study provides a discussion to clarify that to what extent the history of Islam has been invented and how. For this purpose, two different viewpoints of the insiders or Muslims and the outsiders or non-Muslims will be examined. In fact, it is clear that each side looks at this historical scene through its specific eyeglasses. This study also indicates how Islamic history and tradition could be seen differently by different groups of Muslims themselves. en_US
